Canoe Foam
The Clemson University Concrete Canoe Team used StyroShapes™ Foam Sheets 14-1/2” x 12” x 12” as a flotation in the bow and stern of their canoe. The concrete that they use in their canoes is less dense than water, so the foam isn’t essential to their success but they use it in order to decrease the overall weight of the canoe and as a safety net to ensure flotation. They placed 7th overall in the national competition.
